She co-authored the first fertility preservation bill in the country and went on to lobby for reproductive change at all levels of government. She is committed to improving access to exceptional healthcare regardless of income, insurance, religion, race, identity or location.

Dr. Plessala has spent more than 30 years as an OBGYN innovating fertility solutions for patients with often no clear diagnosis. As both a practicing clinician and medical device inventor, Dr. Plessala is committed to improving the healthcare experience for women, as well as their outcomes. He is as humble as he is kind, and his patients come from all over the country to seek his care in Mobile, AL. He co-founded Ovum to set a new standard of care for OBGYNS in the United States.

Santi is a reproductive geneticist and “accidental entrepreneur,” co-founding several transformative companies in reproductive health. He has been instrumental in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), with over 65,000 procedures done worldwide. Santiago is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and has been teaching at the NYH-Cornell University Medical Center since 1992. He is overseeing the research initiatives internally at Ovum as well as with our external partners.

Heather Phillips is a passionate patient advocate with more than 20 years health care experience. She is a relentless problem solver committed to transforming the fertility care experience for women across the country. She excels at building the critical infrastructure clinicians need to deliver exceptional care. She, unfortunately, endured her own traumatic birth experience which left her with both accurate empathy for patient care and resolve for improving patient outcomes.

Latrice is Ovum’s Chief Patient Advocate, as well as a best selling author and grandmother with 30 years experience helping women and couples create families. She helps patients navigate the complex choices facing them when they need medical assistance to form their family. With deep expertise in donor conception and third party reproduction, she educates patients on insurance options and how to advocate for themselves. She informs patients of research opportunities.

Joshua Noonan is a storyteller. With a heart of gold, Joshua connects his audience to authentic stories in a way that touches, moves and inspires people to take action. Joshua has filmed thousands of hours of fertility content, produced hundreds of videos and launched as many ads to edutain the market about Ovum’s unique services. He is committed to using stories to connect the right patients to our unique providers.

Lauren is an exceptional patient advocate who is the first person our patients usually connect with when they contact the practice. An endometriosis warrior herself and non-profit founder, Lauren excels at breaking down complex medical terms into understandable communication for patients. She is relentless in her commitment to helping women learn to advocate for themselves, as well as breaking down racial barriers to accessing quality healthcare.

Courtney Doyle is a dynamic professional with a proven track record of driving business growth and forging strategic partnerships. With a recent transition to Ovum Health as Vice President of Business Development, Courtney brings extensive experience and expertise to the forefront of the organization's expansion efforts.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Courtney is also a Silver Medal U.S. National Champion in competitive outrigger, showcasing their dedication and drive to excel both in and out of the workplace.

Jill Mongiello, is a devoted mother of two and grandmother of two. With family as her top priority, Jill embraces the joy of living close to her loved ones. Beyond her familial roles, she finds balance in practicing yoga, promoting mental and physical well-being.

Deahna Sears, CMA, Patient Advocate and Insurance Professional, has been a Certified Medical Assistant since 2000. A childhood cancer survivor, her personal journey inspired a profound desire to be in a field dedicated to helping others. In 2015, she embarked on her own IVF journey, providing her with a unique advantage to empathize with patients on a deeper level. Deahna understands the complex emotions associated with fertility, from frustration and fear to heartache and joy.
